EQs:  Why are simple to install attachments desirable in robotics?
Why should robotic students strive to design attachments and robotic manipulators which provide multiple functions?
Doing:  Completing the NHD Artifacts

Robotic attachments and manipulators need to be made with the following considerations:
  • Be effective and do the job.
  • Be easy to take off and put back on - speed is of the essence in a competition.
  • Where possible, provide multiple functionality - work for many missions.
  • Be as simple as possible - "Simplicity is the Ultimate Sophistication." da Vinci
