EQ(s): How do you the Calculate Distance of Travel of one Motor Rotation? Why is it valuable to be able to calculate this instead of using trial and error methods? Can you extrapolate a known distance the robot traveled to a new distance using your math skills?
Assignment: After completing the EduBot Robot, determine the number of rotations needed for the robot to travel exactly 3 feet, or 3 floor tiles.
Then ask instructor for a new distance and without running your Bot, tell him how many motor rotations it would take using the proportion method. After that, prove to the instructor that you are correct by showing your robot traveling that distance.
